My First Post

I have been reading many blogs pertaining to fulltiming. I guess it is my turn to start my own. Our goal to being on the road sometime in 2013. Yes it does seem far away, but I can't believe it has been 5 years since I started reading many of the blogs. I am sure the next 2+ years will be here before we know it.

We do have a 2009 New Horizons 5th wheel. That will be our fulltime RV as well. The tow vehicle right now is a 2005 Ford F350. That will be changing. The RV is too heavy for the truck. Not sure what we will be getting. DH wants a Ford F450, but I would love to get a HDT. Since I got the choice of the RV I guess I will et him have his choice of trucks. :)

There is so much to be done in the next 2+ years. We have so much to purge. We have started going through drawers and closets to pitch some of the items that are not worthy of even a garage sale. I am thinking we should have a garage sale this summer/fall. I just need to get motivated to prepare for it. Work just seems to drain me. I need to get over that soon!!

There also quite a few house projects that will need to be done before the house is put on the market. That is if I get my way. My DH is not sure he wants to give up the home. At this time he is wanting a place to come back to. I guess this decision will be made closer to our maiden voyage.

I see how all the emotional aspects of preparing for the life change can be overwhelming. There are so many things we never use yet it is so difficult to part with it. I keep thinking our son will be able to use it once he is on his own. We have things that were given to us by each of our parents. They are never used and yet I can't part with them. Maybe our son will want to take some of this with him.

I am sure I will not be writing everyday. I will try to keep a journal of what we are doing to prepare for fulltiming. I have never been good at putting anything in writing so right now this is just for me, unless of course someone accidently finds this blog on their own.
